About Dawn
Welcome to Delight In His Word, LLC! My name is Dawn and I’m so happy that you’re here. I’m a former teacher who ended up being a leader in children’s ministry for close to 20 years. I am back to teaching again, this time in a homeschool co-op which has been an amazing blessing. My life with Jesus in the places where He has brought me for His purposes has always been an adventure!
I enjoy teaching and speaking, but at the core of who I am is really a storyteller, and the story that I love to share above all else is the true story of the Bible!
I love seeing the connections between the Old and New Testaments and learning about the historical and cultural context of the Bible. My writing and teachings reflect that. The Bible is one grand narrative all pointing to God’s plan to save sinners and bring them into His Kingdom. I am in wonder of its beauty, scope, and power!
This website is a way for me to offer my children’s books to families to use as a resource in their
homes. It is also a place where I can extend my services as a teacher and speaker. Through the
years, I have enjoyed giving talks about the Bible at various schools and churches and I would
be happy to come and speak to your group if you choose to invite me.

In my house Dawn is known as "the Israel teacher." She has brought the Jewish culture and language to life for my kids, from my five-year-old all the way up to my fifteen-year-old. Dawn has a special way of relating to and teaching kids that makes them eager to learn more and more. My youngest says Israel class is his favorite part of co-op day, and he teaches us all about the Hebrew alphabet, Jewish culture, and special celebrations like festivals and Hanukkah. He also loves to point out the Israel flag whenever he spots it. Dawn is a gifted teacher, knowledgeable speaker, and great woman of faith.
